WILMINGTON, DE – May 21st, 2026 – DeNovix Inc. is pleased to announce the winner of the Diamond DS-11 FX+ Giveaway: Garmen Ng from the University of Western Ontario! Selected at random from thousands of entries from scientists worldwide, the DS-11 FX+ Spectrophotometer / Fluorometer will be housed in the Chidiac Lab of the university’s Physiology & Pharmacology Department.
The competition was held to celebrate the DS-11 Series’s recent Diamond Seal of Quality award from SelectScience®. SelectScience’s Seal of Quality program recognizes life science products that have consistently received the highest review ratings in categories such as ease of use, service, and value. The DS-11 Series was recognized with the prestigious Diamond Seal of Quality based on receiving over 500 independent customer reviews, making it the most reviewed spectrophotometer on the platform.
The University of Western Ontario’s new DS-11 FX+ instrument will be used to support the Chidiac Lab’s research on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), with a particular focus on the mechanisms by which small molecules modulate receptor activation and downstream signaling across multiple GPCR classes.
“We frequently prepare DNA plasmids and plasmid dilutions for transfection in our cell-based assays, making the DS-11 an invaluable tool for accurately quantifying our DNA samples,” said Garmen, the winner of the instrument giveaway.
